Specimen Required: Patient Preparation:
Collect:Green (Sodium Heparin), Lavender (K2EDTA), Lavender (K3EDTA), Pink (K2EDTA), or Serum separator tube (SST).
Specimen Preparation:Transfer 1 mL serum or plasma to an RDL Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.25 mL). Avoid freezing if possible.
Storage/Transport Temperature:Refrigerated.
Stability:After separation from cells: Ambient: 48 hours; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 1 year (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles)
