Collect:Serum separator tube. Also acceptable: lavender (K2 EDTA), lavender (K3 EDTA), green (sodium heparin), green (lithium heparin), or light blue (sodium citrate).
Specimen Preparation:Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL serum to an RDL Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.5 mL).
Storage/Transport Temperature:Frozen.
Stability:After separation from cells: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: Indefinitely (avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles)
