Specimen Required: Patient Preparation:
Collect:Serum separator tube.
Specimen Preparation:Allow specimen to clot for 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature. Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 4 mL serum to an RDL Standard Transport Tube and freeze immediately. (Min: 2 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature:Frozen.
Stability:After separation from cells: Ambient: 1 hour; Refrigerated: 24 hours, Frozen: 2 weeks
