Specimen Required: Patient Preparation:
Collect:Plasma separator tube, serum separator tube, or plain red.
Specimen Preparation:Allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 2 mL serum or plasma to an RDL Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 1.1 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature:Refrigerated.
Stability:After separation from cells: Ambient: 1 week; Refrigerated: 1 month; Frozen: 1 month
