| Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: Collect:Serum separator tube or plain red. Also acceptable: lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA). Specimen Preparation:Allow serum tube to sit for 15-20 minutes at room temperature for proper clot formation. Centrifuge and separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL serum or plasma to an RDL Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.3 mL) Storage/Transport Temperature:Frozen.
