| Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: Collect: Serum separator tube or green (sodium or lithium heparin). Specimen Preparation: Allow serum specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 2 mL serum or plasma to an RDL Standard Transport Tube and refrigerate or freeze immediately. (Min: 1 mL) Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated. Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 1 week; Refrigerated: 1 week ; Frozen: 2 months |
