Specimen Required: Patient Preparation:
Collect:Plasma separator tube (PST) microtainer. Also acceptable: Serum separator tube (SST), lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA).
Specimen Preparation:Separate plasma or serum from cells within 2 hours of collection. If serum is used allow specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Transport 0.2 mL serum. (Min: 0.1 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature:Refrigerated. Also acceptable: Frozen.
Stability:After separation from cells: Ambient: 15 days; Refrigerated: 2 months; Frozen: 3 years
