| Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: Collect:24-hour urine. Specimen must be refrigerated during collection. AND plasma separator tube or serum separator tube, collected within 48 hours of initiating urine collection. Specimen Preparation:Transfer one 3 mL aliquot from a well-mixed 24-hour collection (Min: 0.5 mL) AND 1 mL serum or plasma (Min: 0.2 mL) to individual RDL Standard Transport Tubes. Record total volume and collection time interval on transport tube and test request form. Storage/Transport Temperature: Stability:Serum: (after separation from cells) Ambient: 1 week; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 3 months Urine: Ambient: 2 days; Refrigerated: 6 days; Frozen: 6 months. |
