Specimen Required: Patient Preparation:Do not draw from an arm with a heparin lock or heparinized catheter.
Collect:Lt. blue (sodium citrate).
Specimen Preparation:Separate plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 2 mL plasma to an RDL Standard Transport Tube. Freeze immediately. (Min: 1 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature:CRITICAL FROZEN. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Stability:Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 48 hours; Frozen: 3 months
