| Specimen Required: | Patient Preparation: Collect:Plain red or serum separator tube. Also acceptable: Green (sodium or lithium heparin). Specimen Preparation:Allow serum specimen to clot fully at room temperature before centrifuging. Transfer 2 mL serum or plasma to an RDL Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.5 mL) Storage/Transport Temperature:Frozen. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Stability:After separation from cells: Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 48 hours; Frozen: 6 months |
