Specimen Required: Patient Preparation:
Collect:Serum separator tube.
Specimen Preparation:Allow serum separator to sit for 15-20 minutes at room temperature for proper clot formation. Centrifuge and separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1 mL serum to an RDL Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.3 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature:Frozen. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.
Stability:Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 72 hours; Frozen: 1 month
