Collect:Plasma separator tube (PST). Also acceptable: Green (sodium heparin), lavender (EDTA), or serum separator tube (SST).
Specimen Preparation:Separate serum or plasma from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Allow serum specimen to clot completely at room temperature. Transfer 1 mL serum or plasma to an RDL Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.5 mL)
